  • The heater coil in my dryer went out. I called Mike and he was able to come out immediately which as a mom with multiple kids was a huge plus! He got the part changed out quickly and now my dryer is working good as new!

  • I called Mike today and got service today within 40 minutes he was here and was very professional, nice and very knowledgeable about repairs for all appliances. My dryer was fixed in less than an hour and didn’t cost me as much as it would if I called the manufacturer. He’s very nice and communicated about what to wash and dry and about what not to wash and dry to prevent my dryer from going out again.   • If you want an honest answer and no pressure help.... Call Mike Way! Recently, I called Mike Way for a washer repair question.. rather than milk me for a service call, Mike walked me through several options for me to complete some simple repairs. I have used Mike in the past for a refrigerator repair and he did a great job. He was in and out quickly , he was very professional and educated us how to extend the life of our appliances. The most recent call a year or so ago, was the second time Mike helped us avoid a service call and the extra expense... I don't know anybody else who would be willing to give free advice over the phone to try and help people out. He could have easily came out and charged us the call. He saved us a lot of time and money. we've had appliance help needs 3 times in the past few years and Mike is and will continue to be my first call.

  • I am so impressed with Mike. I called this morning because I was getting an error message on my Samsung Washing machine. It would begin the wash cycle, but would not go to the rinse cycle. Over the phone he talked me through draining the water out of the machine and then told me to clean out the filter on the front of the machine. I then ran a rinse cycle and a full cycle and it worked! Just that small step was all it needed and Mike was kind enough to trouble shoot first, before I spent a lot of money on him coming out. I will call him again when I have an issue!

  • Our washer was stopping in the middle of a wash cycle. I contacted Mike and explained the problem. He gave tips on how to check if the problem could be solved without a service call to save us the service fee! Who does that! Mike does that! I still moved forward with the service call. I took his advice but the problem persisted. He was able to fit me on his schedule within 36 hours. He came and diagnosed the issue pretty easily. The black rubber hose had begun to break down and clogged the water pump. The connecter parts was also worn on the water pump. He called in a part and returned within the hour to complete the job. After replacing the water pump Mike checked out the dryer and informed me that the length between the exhaust and dryer should be 16 feet max. He moved and trimmed the dryer exhaust hose. Then he sat me down and explained that we should be using a garment bag for any item under a foot. The reason you ask? Small items get sucked in between the barrels and a garment bag protects them. This was one of many tips he gave us to extend the life of our washer and dryer. The past appliance repair men I have dealt with love it when you don't take care of your appliances because it means more service calls for them. Mike took time to discuss tips and answer any questions. I love the person touch and he is who we will call for all of our appliance repair needs.

  • Mike came out and looked at my dryer because it was not heating anymore. He replaced the parts that were messed up however my husband had tried fixing the dryer before Mike looked at it and messed another part up. Mike explained to me that it would be better to purchase another dryer, I am really glad that he was honest and trying to save me money. He came out within an hours notice.... fixed, cleaned, and resolved my dryer.... gave me helpful hints to prevent it from breaking again, and was not just an overall nice guy, but went the extra distance to help me clean-up and remove the debris around my dryer (which is unheard of).   • The 4th time in 6 months my dryer broke. I am a struggling single mom with 2 teens and lots of laundry! I was in trouble, had little money and needed help!! Already I spent $1000 fixing this dryer (newer front-load Samsung) in 4 service calls! Back then I called Mars- every time at least $200; usually more. THIS time, Mars told me the same guy would come" in a day or so". I told Mars I was in dire straits, had been a LOYAL customer and had already spent so much with them- same repairman- same machine- broken AGAIN. I warned I couldn't afford a huge bill and whatever it cost would be my grocery money! After 2 minutes drilling opening my dryer, he said my belt was broken- a $30 part, BUT would cost $200 to spend 10 minutes fixing it! I lost it- chocked back tears and said "I just can't! I told them I cannot pay all that! You've already made a grand off me! Is there anything you can do?" He replied, "I should charge you the $80 for just coming, but I am just going to leave!", and stormed out angrily in front of my kids- I felt like the biggest failure in the world- desperate for help..THEN I looked online and saw all these reviews for Mike. I called him in near hysterics. He was at the vet with his puppy getting her stitches out yet took my call! He told me not to worry, he would take care of me. He quoted me a price that was but FAR less than the jerk who just stomped out of my home, embarrassing me in front of my kids! An hour later he was at my house. I ran to get cash but told him my kids were there- almost 13 and 14. He told me he'd wait; that his ethics wouldn't allow him to go in without me and I respected that. It only got better from there. He didn't just fix my dryer. He fixed errors that Mars had made in the past "repairs". Within a few minutes, I felt like an Uncle was over! We talked about his business ethics and thinking about how we should treat one another. As a new Master Psychologist and one who has been through more pain than most, I was floored by his philosophies! He put such intense pride in his work, explained everything to me about my dryer, and even my washer and fridge! He took the time to vacuum out every tiny piece of lint, took every part out and cleaned it while making sure ALL was as it should be. He corrected mistakes that could have led to fire that Mars made..He was just amazing! I felt like it was a bargain above a bargain because not only did he reduce his rate to help me, being a compassionate man, he talked to me and I wasn't uncomfortable in my own home. He talked about his experience- why he does what he does. Many people do their jobs for the paycheck- Mike does his job because he's great at it, loves what he does, and CARES about people! I have never seen a professional take that much care in their approach to a customer! When he finished- taking longer than all 4-5 repair jobs Mars had done combined to go through everything with me, answer my questions, look at other things and make sure I was safe and the dryer worked the way it was supposed to, I went to pay him. I handed him the agreed upon amount, and he handed me back about 30%% of THAT $ already discounted! I was floored! I couldn't help it! The next evening he called me to make sure that the dryer was working well and that everything was okay. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE? It was like a time warp- customer service of high caliber- LONG GONE to companies like Mars, and a thing of the past except in movies and stories from my mom- Mike runs his business this way every day!.I can honestly say with 100%% certainty that there is no one better than Mike, as a repairman and as a human being, and that Mars Appliance Repair needs to have him train their staff! That is IF they don't lose all their business to MIKE!!!! As for me, no one I know or I will EVER call another service again. Thank you SO MUCH, MIKE! You area rare and precious find.

He fit me in his schedule quickly, showed up when he said he would, fixed the problem and charged a fair price.   • Mike Way Appliance Repair saved my stove and sanity!!!! When my oven/stove broke, I called Sears Repair. They sent someone out (several hours past the service window times). After ordering a part and rescheduling a time to come install it, they finally said they would be here yesterday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. I called at 6:45 p.m. when I hadn't heard from Sears. I was told they would be here and that I was next in line. I called again @ 7:53 pm and was told the same thing. I called again at 9:15 pm only to be told that they weren't coming (guess they weren't going to call me and let me know they weren't coming). I figured I would be first in line this morning, since I was next in line. No dice. So THANK YOU Mike Way for coming on short notice, being here when you said you would, and getting my stove up and running in about 15 minutes I should have called you two weeks ago when it broke and saved myself several headaches!!!   • Mike was 15 minutes early, I got home 5 minutes after he said he would be there. I was not used to promptness from service industry, so imagine my surprise and chagrin at being the one who kept him waiting. I apologized but he was very understanding and said an apology was not necessary. He got my washing machine up and running within 10 minutes, showed me the part, and charged very fairly. Plus, my Rottweiler and 1.5 yr old niece liked him as well. If their approval is not a good recommendation, I don't know what is. A+!

  • I had not had need of a repairman since moving to the area and found Mike through a Google search. He had wonderful reviews and I only saw one person displeased with his work and that was due to a service call charge. I think a service charge is something that should be expected so that did not deter me from calling. I am so glad I did. I called Mike at 8:05 AM for a problem with my refrigerator. He explained about his service charge and told me could be at my house by 9:30. He arrived at 9:15. AWESOME! I explained to him what was going on when the problem started and he pulled it out and went to work. As he worked he explained to me what was wrong, what had caused it to happen and showed me the burned out part that needed to be replaced. He had the part in his truck and he informed me of the cost of the repairs. He replaced the parts, explaining what he was doing as he worked, how to prevent it from happening in the future and pointed out some things that could possibly cause trouble in the future and explained to me what I could do to prevent those future issues. Unbelievable! Mike was punctual, polite, friendly, helpful and charged fairly for the work he did. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with his services. I will not hesitate to call him again when I have a problem. Thank you, Mike, you were a Godsend!!!

  • WOW Totally awesome repair professional. He was the ONLY one that kept in contact with me about my appointment time, and even worked around the ice storm. He heard the noise my washing machine was making over the phone and said, "I know exactly what that is". Within 2 minutes after he arrived at our home, he had dismantled the machine and was replacing the part. He also replaced some badly needed cogs in my agitator. Such a nice and knowledgeable person.   • Honesty is the best policy. That should be Mikes company slogan because that is what he just showed me. He repaired my refrigerator and ordered parts that would solve the problem but when he returned to fix it he wanted to try the cheaper route just to see if it fixed it. I had already paid him for the original quote but the cheaper fix worked and he ripped my check up and gave me a new bill that was $165 less.   • Our fridge has been leaking some onto the floor for a couple of weeks but we were trying to avoid calling someone because we're waiting for a kitchen remodel. This morning? A small flood! Called Mike at 8:00am and was pleasantly surprised to hear him say, "I can be there in a few minutes if that would work." (On a Saturday!) He was at our house and evaluating the issues within 15 minutes. While he was unable to get the refrigerator out to get his hands on what was the problem, he directed how to manage until our new fridge is in, gave excellent info about fridge history and anatomy in general (I love when someone explains the WHY of things), and advice about what to avoid when purchasing a new appliance. Once my wife and I were packing to leave the country for a vacation and our dryer went out. Mike answered the phone at 10pm, and after hearing our plight, arrived the next morning before 11am.   • it seems like everything is going out at home around holidays and I guess this year is no exception.. this year my refrigerator was having problems and I needed to get it checked out fast before I lost all my food. a classmate of mine at MTSU gave me the number of a guy he used last month, so I gave him a call.. Just my luck, Mike was in the area and could be here is 20 minutes. after he arrived he found my problem and fixed it right away!!! Mike was awesome! his rates were very reasonable. he even gave me some pointers on how to take better care of it and make it last longer.. He even gave me a discount since I am a college student.
